A replacement player for the Tactix last season, promising young attacker Vika Koloto finds herself in a similar position heading into the 2023 season. Koloto replaces shooter Hannah Glen who has been ruled out with a serious knee injury. The Auckland-born Koloto played for the Comets in the 2021 National Netball League before heading south. Originally moving to Christchurch as a contracted training partner for the Tactix, she was quickly elevated to the top flight after replacing a pregnant Jane Watson. The goal attack/mid-courter has previously been a member of the NZ U21 squad and spent 2020 with the Stars after becoming a permanent replacement. She has built a solid foundation and impressed with her power, strength, accurate shot and fearless approach. Koloto is a Tania Dalton Foundation Scholarship recipient which supports talented young New Zealand sportswomen in reaching their full potential.
