Netball New Zealand and the Tactix Management Committee have announced the appointment of Haidee Stratford into the part-time role as The Good Oil Tactix General Manager.
Stratford has been employed to the role for 12 months, starting in November, to oversee the day-to-day management of the Tactix, build relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring the engagement with fans, supporters and grassroots netball remains strong.
Tactix Management Committee member Darren Wright said they were delighted to welcome Stratford on board as they looked to build on the success of the side from the 2020 ANZ Premiership.
“We are really pleased to welcome Haidee to this newly created part-time role,” he said.
“She brings a wealth of administration experience from the sport industry and will work closely with the team at Netball NZ to help run the day-to-day management of the Good Oil Tactix.
“The Tactix team delivered on many levels this season and we look forward to building on those achievements next year.”
Stratford has worked for Triathlon New Zealand as both an Operations Manager (2012-2013) and Event Director (2009-2012), and with British Tennis (2007-2008) where she was the National Competition Manager for schools.
More recently, the mum of two has completed general projects for Sport Canterbury and the Christchurch City Council’s Sport and Recreation Team.
She said she was excited to join the Tactix fold after what had been a challenging year for the club.
“It has been an outstanding season for The Good Oil Tactix, despite the hurdles they have had to overcome, and I’m looking forward to building on this success as we start our 2021 campaign.”
The Good Oil Tactix made history this year after qualifying for their first ANZ Premiership Grand Final, finishing second to the Central Pulse.
