The Good Oil Tactix are pleased to announce a new partnership with The Crossing who joins the Tactix family to recognise excellence on court.
The Crossing Player of the Match will be awarded to a Tactix player at home games to be played at Christchurch Arena and at Trafalgar Centre in Nelson, including Sunday’s first home game of the season against the Magic in Christchurch.
The Good Oil Tactix General Manager Haidee Stratford said they were pleased to announce this new partnership for their 2021 campaign.
“We’re excited to partner with The Crossing for the ANZ Premiership to help acknowledge a stand-out Tactix player in front of our home crowds,” she said.
“We recognise how important home support is – it is the foundation of our success – which is why it’s great to have The Crossing join Team Tactix as they align with our values of backing red-and-black.”
The Crossing Centre Manager Kelly Morison said they were delighted to join the Tactix family and were looking forward to backing the team during the 2021 ANZ Premiership.
“The Crossing is owned by a local, Canterbury company and we pride ourselves in supporting our local people,” she said.
“Supporting the growth of our City is as the heart of what we do which we believe is something that also holds strong with the Tactix. We are looking forward to connecting the City with our local sporting talent and celebrating their successes.”
The Tactix’ eight home games include Sunday’s match against the Magic along with Monday 17 May versus the Mystics; Saturday 5 June versus Pulse; Monday 14 June versus Steel (Nelson); Monday 21 June versus Magic (Nelson); Sunday 4 July versus Pulse (Nelson); Monday 12 July versus Stars, and Sunday 25 July versus Mystics.
About The Crossing:
The Crossing is the retail heart of Christchurch’s city centre – the one hectare precinct of heritage facades, cutting edge architecture, enticing laneways and open public spaces sets the benchmark for retail in post-earthquake Christchurch.
The Crossing was developed by Carter Group, a locally-owned property company established in 1946 by Maurice Carter, and led by his son Philip since the 1980s.
The devastating 2011 Canterbury earthquakes saw most buildings within the city block damaged beyond repair. This presented an opportunity to amalgamate various landholdings and create an intergraded retail, office and car parking development.
Now it is the only precinct within the central city where you can shop, eat and park – a home of local and international fashion, exciting beauty and lifestyle brands, and an ever evolving mix of food.
