The Good Oil will this week end a significant chapter with netball in the Mainland as they step down as naming rights partner of the Tactix.

A three-year partnership between The Good Oil and the Tactix, which started in late 2018, comes to an end with both parties recognising the achievements both on and off the netball court for the region.

Tactix General Manager Haidee Stratford said The Good Oil had been a part of the Tactix family during some of its most successful time on court, including two ANZ Premiership Grand Finals, and some of its most challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two seasons.

“It has been a privilege to work with The Good Oil who have been by our side through the highs of the Premiership finals and supported the Tactix throughout some tough times over the past two years which have been severely impacted by the pandemic,” she said.

“We have been very fortunate to have worked alongside The Good Oil who are as passionate about the Mainland and their community as we are, and we wish them well with their future business endeavours.”

The Good Oil is a New Zealand owned and operated producer of NZ extra virgin rapeseed oil, owned by Pure Oil NZ and based in Rolleston.

Pure Oil NZ Ltd Managing Director Nick Murney said they had been delighted to join the Tactix on their ANZ Premiership journey over the past three years.

“It has meant a lot to us as a home-grown company to watch the growth of netball in the Mainland and in particular the success of the Tactix,” he said.

“We have had the pleasure of being a part of the Tactix family and watching the team reach two successive Grand Finals has been something special for The Good Oil.

“We certainly wish the Tactix all the best for the coming ANZ Premiership season.”

The Tactix open their 2022 ANZ Premiership on 13 March against the Steel at Christchurch Arena.
